Ahhhhh vintage Paramore! The best kind of Paramore! I was next to heartbroken when I heard about Zac and Josh leaving the band a few years back (They were my favorite) I mean I still love Jeremy, Taylor and Hayley of course and they're still doing a great job! But there was just something about those boys that made me smile :) but I respected their decision then and I still respect it now. Hayley Williams is without a doubt one of my biggest idols out there in terms of vocals, that girl has one crazy voice! One I wish I had, let me tell you! Maybe with enough practice.....maybe being the key word there....

ANIME NORTH!

Kay so...maybe I fibbed about the Stephanie Brown cosplay....well I mean I was gonna go as her but then I found the perfect wig at a party store for Ramona Flowers and I just abandoned the Robin Project and re-opened the files on Ramona...

I'M SORRY!

But I am super happy I was Ramona, I handed out lives and everything! I made about 20 the night before and handed 16 out the following day (SO if you are reading my blog thanks to the life I gave you GOOD JOB! I AM SENDING YOU A VIRTUAL GLOMP!)

Overall this weekend has been the best EVER! I am gonna do an "Anime North Haul" post later tonight too. I could have stayed in the dealers room forever, not gonna lie! It was like my happy place.

Hey guys! Sorry I missed Music Monday yesterday! My brain has been stuck in long weekend mode, ANYWAYS, my friend told me to listen to Jack Johnson. And I am so happy he told me to! I have had Banana Pancakes on repeat for quite some time. Its the perfect song to unwind to after the Long Weekend! or wish it was still the Long Weekend....But hopefully his voice puts a smile on your face like it does mine :)

Weekend Haul :)

So this long weekend I must say has been really, really eventful :)

To start it off yesterday my mumsie and I got to go to a giant fabric store where they sell oodles among oodles of fabric, craft supplies and various knickknacks for DIRT CHEAP! I ended up buying way more than I needed too (what else is new) but I found this awesome striped jersey knit fabric 

(bottom of picture) that I fell in love with and had to buy. Luckily, it was on sale for 5$ a yard and there was lots of it! I'm thinking of sewing up a nice summer tank for Warped Tour in July maybe something like this: 

Still not sure but my ideal outfit for that specific festival will be, but I betcha it'll be a tank top and highwaisted shorts of some variety...I just have to order the shorts from Forever21 first...

ANYWAYS BACK TO THE STORY...then after spending 2 hours in the fabric store hit up the city's surplus store where I found an old home energy book there for only $0.50! I'm thinking of using it for a new re-purposed sketchbook, its the perfect size! Not too big, not too small, its bigger than a Moleskine but its still the size where you can just throw it in your purse when traveling around! Then I found this awesome notebook with graph paper on one side and lined on the other! and then these awesome stamp stickers that I could decorate the cover with! I was so overjoyed! I had been looking for a graph paper notebook for the longest time, but I couldn't find any that pleased me. 

Now all I can say is TGIS. THANK GOD FOR SURPLUS! 

I really do love these long weekends where I can spend time with the people I love and find awesome little treasures like this :) It really is great! Here's to another fabulous May Two Four!!!

Anime North Report: 10 Days?!

Well it has officially hit me that Anime North in Toronto is 10 DAYS AWAY! and I have
NO COSPLAY STARTED! *Facepalm*
I was originally going to go as Ramona Flowers from Scott Pilgrim vs. The Universe but I looked up trying to buy a wig and it would have cost me an arm and a leg to get one. Plus I don't really have time anymore to find everything for her specific costume which would have been this one:

So I had to find a quick and easy costume idea that I didn't necessarily have to buy a wig for. And although I'm sad I won't be able to make an awesome subspace suitcase I am super happy with my backup plan! I get to don on a cape and cosplay as one of my favorite DC Heroines: Stephanie Brown

 If it weren't for time I would have so gone with The Spoiler as a cosplay but because Anime North is 10 days away, I'm gonna go with Brown's version of Robin. However I will be using my natural hair color, brown.

So I'll be a brunette Stephanie Brown/Robin.

I've already bought the materials for my version of the costume, which I am super excited for! I will keep everyone updated with how it is coming along. Get ready for a picture-fest!

Music Monday: The Fruit Bats

Last weekend I stumbled upon this cute little diddy when looking for some new tunes to listen to and let me say, since then I have been OBSESSED with this song! I love, love, LOVE these guys and their sound. Not to mention the lyrics are so truthful and dead on accurate. This without a doubt will be a song I'll whip out at summer party or get together. Just beautiful!

Why Hello There!

Hello! This is my first post and as you can see I have really no idea what it is I should be saying...so I'll start out with a warm welcome and what you'll expect to see on this blog. Every day I'm hoping on posting something and it will probably involve alliteration of some variety based on the day of the week. So for an example Monday is Music Monday, Wednesday is Wishful Wednesday and so on and so forth. But don't worry I won't go overboard on poetic devices. Promise! And soon I'll be starting my
"Summer To-Do List 2012" so I'm pretty excited about that! I'm really happy to be starting up a new adventure here on this blog of mine, so happy you can join me on it.
