Today was hands down a "No Makeup Monday" I was just so swamped when I rolled out of bed that makeup didn't really seem like a high priority. So instead of spending the 10 minutes this morning doing my face all fancy like. I got dressed and had an Indiana Jones movie marathon in my sloth clothes but being the cool cat that I am I couldn't just sit and watch the movie. No way, sitting is for lazy sloths, I am an active sloth! So I made a few sketchbooks while Indy was once again protecting archaeological history and ultimately saving an ancient relic from falling into the hands of greedy old men.
The spine is made from a torn out magazine page and the covers are from some old card stock I had lying around. The closure is an elastic I found in a drawer, I'm thinking of making more and selling them but I will be refining the closure system for sure. I don't like the way the elastic looks on the opening end of the book when its closed and secure. Noted and added to the list of projects!
Now I'm off to make chocolate chip cookies for tomorrow!!! Wewt!

ReplyDeleteWhat about (and I'm sure you've already thought of this) attaching a button thingo so the elastic or a string winds around it to close the book? I LOVE it, by the way.
